Stampers By The Dozen - From The Heart

Friday is here and it's time for another Stamper's By The Dozen Hop! This month I am very excited about the projects as we are creating projects From the Heart!  I can't wait to hop through everyone's blogs to see all the different ideas as I'm sure everyone will come up with great projects!

From the Heart can mean many things but to me, anything handmade is from the heart.  For my projects this month, I wanted to showcase items I made for my vendor shows I participated in this season.  Tucson is a city steeped in many artists and high quality vendor shows.  My first show over Thanksgiving weekend wiped out many of my items and I spend the next week working my fingers each night creating new projects to restock.  These were some of my biggest sellers and I'm excited to share them with you!

I love this Hershey Kiss Christmas tree! This is such an easy project that can be pumped out quickly for mass production.  These trees where my biggest seller of the season and I sold buckets of them!  A definite make for next year!  The tree holds nine regular Hershey Kisses and one Hershey Nugget wrapped in Early Espresso cardstock at the bottom.  The best part of this is that the only part that is glued is the frame of the tree, everything else is held together by the force of the kisses!

For my second project share, I made these Starbucks Peppermint Mocha Via Instant coffee packet holders and used the Merry Cafe stamp set.  This set is one of my top favorites as it coordinates with my favorite stamp and die set from the annual catalog.  In October I participated in a fall vendor show and used Pumpkin Spice Via Instant packets and used the same stamp set.  This show I sold all 16 of my packets and wished I had made more!  I also used the pizza box from the holiday catalog as a box for some tags!  I used the Painted Harvest stamp set to stamp a wreath!

ICS Blog Hop - Christmas in the Making

It's the first Wednesday of December and it's time for another edition of the Inspire, Create, & Share Blog Hop!  Tucson is finally getting some cooler weather (it actually rained yesterday for the first time in months!) and our projects this month are focusing on Christmas!

The holidays are the perfect time to break out the paper crafting supplies, use you imagination, and hand craft gifts for special people in your life.  With the hustle and bustle of every day life together with the digital era, hand crafted items are even more special.  For this month's project, I wanted to share the spirit of Christmas and I love this stamp set!  The Christmas in the Making stamp was one of my favorite from the beginning on the holiday catalog when it came out.  I love these girls and I think they look very retro and vintage!

I love the simplicity of this card.  It's a perfect card to mail as your holiday cards as why there are a few layers, it isn't bulky and won't cost extra in postage!  I used the Be Merry Designer Series Paper from the annual catalog.  Sometimes I feel the holiday sets and paper from the annual catalog gets overlooked when the holiday catalog debuts so I wanted to showcase this paper!  It's classic Christmas colors of Garden Green and Cherry Cobbler and is perfect for holiday crafting.  I used the new Stampin' Blends to color in her dress and the two coordinating colors blend so well.  It's a great way to color even for beginners like myself!

Global Stamping Friends - Festive Celebrations!

Happy Friday and Happy December 1st to everyone!  It's the first Friday of the month and time again for the next Global Stampin' Friends Blog Hop!

It's the most wonderful time of the year and time to work on all those Holiday projects! I love holiday crafting (even if it stresses me out every year)!  This time of the year is my busy season with the vendor shows I sign up for.  Last year I signed up for five shows but this year I signed up for three more higher end shows.  My first show was last weekend and by the end of day two, my table was pretty bare! I have another show tomorrow that is two days and another one next week that is also two days.  I've been working the past month on projects especially this week on restocking my sold out items!

For my project this month, I wanted to work with some colors that aren't considered the traditional Christmas colors of green and red.  I wanted to showcase the Snowflake Sentiments stamp set and coordinating dies.  I love this set.  I used Night of Navy and Very Vanilla but these two colors together make a great Christmas card!  I heat embossed the snowflakes and used clear embossing powder to set the snowflakes and used Night of Navy ink with a Stamping Sponge to color over the snowflakes to make them pop through.

At the bottom, I heat embossed with silver embossing powder to tie everything together.  See that cute dotted border at the bottom?  Its a die from the coordinating framelits and its an easy way to show some of the Night of Navy to peek through.  This card would be perfect for teaching at a class or something quick to make and send as your Christmas card for the year!

The ICS Blog Hop dinner was great and it was amazing to finally meet these wonderful ladies in person and put their face to their blog names!  I loved crafting this triangle box and added a Ferrero Rocher chocolate candy inside each box.  I had to hand carry these on the plane and was so very happy that they made it and didn't get crushed!  I used the Year of Cheer Designer Series Paper and the Tinsel ribbon which both have a great metallic shine to them!  The sentiment is from the Christmas in the Making stamp set!
